Welcome to Kadjendo!

Kadjendo is a guest house in Gambia, 'Kadjendo' is also a traditional working tool from the diola farmers in Gambia.

Guesthouse Kadjendo is showing the guests a part of daily Gambian life: from the terrace on the roof you see the customers of the local shop, the tailor behind his sewing machine, the neighbours sitting on a bench to chat. When you go out maybe they 'll invite you for their tea ceremony.

Kadjendo Guesthouse

Kadjendo is a small family guesthouse, with about 15 rooms available. It' owned by Lamin Badjie, Gambian, married to a Belgian, named Els Salembier. The guesthouse will be managed this year by 3 enthusiast and energetic people from Antwerp: Lotte, Peter and Jeroen.

We are organising trips you will not find in the 'big' brochures. Those will make you to meet the life of the Gambian people: go fishing with the fishermen or go cooking with the women in the village. And for a lazy day we are close to the beach: with the local taxi you are there on the spot, walking it takes you about 10 minutes.
